Supreme Best, out of a Canny Lad mare, Ultima Vita, became the 100th winner for Bel Esprit this season and there is still three months to go. Racing on the Sunshine Coast Cushion track , he went to the front in the back straight and created a gap on the field winning by two and a half lengths easing up.
After one run in September 2007, he came back in February this year winning three races from five starts and apprentice jockey Siobhan Kennedy has been aboard for two of those wins.
Bel Esprit progeny have won forty eight races since 1st of January this year and this make his new fee of $16,500 that was announced earlier this week, very attractive.
