Stately Spirit 26/04/09

STATELY PERFORMANCE
After showing plenty of promise this time 12 months ago, Stately Spirit hasn’t had much luck in running this campaign.
But all that was pushed into the background at Yarra Glen yesterday (26 April) when the Bel Esprit 3YO blasted his rivals with a thumping 4.5 length victory over 1310m.
From the Alannon mare, Amberlene, Stately Spirit was purchased from the 2007 Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale by leading Victorian trainer Nikki Burke (obviously having a huge opinion of Stately Spirit, Nikki snapped up the Reset half brother from the Eliza Park draft at last year’s Melbourne Premier).
A half to three winners, including Sydney Group winner Throne Inn and Reverenza, Stately Spirit is out of a winning half sister to multiple stakeswinner Dance Beat and hails from the family of Group One winner Chipolata and 2YO Group winner Pipiwar.
Keep your eye out for Stately Spirit now that’s he broken his duck.
