Melbourne Autumn Yearling Sale Begins Next Sunday
Thursday, 16 April 2009: The Inglis Melbourne Autumn Yearling Sale, source of some of Australia's best value Group 1 winners in recent years, begins next Sunday, April 26 and runs over two days at Oaklands.
Click here for AUTUMN SALE CATALOGUEA catalogue of 373 Lots has been put together this year, with a vast array of proven and exciting young stallions represented.$1.7Million earner Pompeii Ruler and fellow Group 1 winners Grand Journey and Lazer Sharp could all have been purchased for less than $20,000 out of this sale.The trend continues this season, with exciting sprinter Secret Flyer and the seven times winner Rok Posta - both stakes winners at Flemington in January - costing just $29,000 and $20,000 respectively.
Next week's catalogue includes 13 youngsters by Bianconi, sire of last week's explosive G1 AJC The Galaxy winner Nicconi. Eliza Park's Bel Esprit recently had his Group 1 breakthrough with Bel Mer and he has 11 yearlings catalogued.
