Leading Victorian farm Eliza Park have announced their service fees for 2009 with proven Group One producing sire Bel Esprit cut by 50%.
"In announcing the 2009 Stallion fees, Eliza Park is committed to working with breeders to ensure their long term participation in the industry," said Eliza Park CEO, Cameron Croucher.
"As a commercial operation, we have to fully recognise the current climate and market so all participants have the opportunity to profit and prosper in the future.
"Eliza Park is proud of its stallion roster and believe that the fees reflect exceptional value in today's market.
"Like all farms we have to consider our revenue versus costs ratios, but what is important is that we continue to offer breeders the opportunity to access stallions at fair and reasonable prices."
In addition to price reductions, Eliza Park will provide some of the best terms and incentives available to breeders, including a Live Foal Guarantee, extended payment terms to 31 March 2010 and transfer of the free return to mares in foal to Eliza Park stallions.
