Ejercito 9/11/2008

EJERCITO GRIPPER AT CRANBOURNE
Enormous performance yesterday (9 November) by Ejercito to win the Browns Sawdust & Shavings over 1400m at Cranbourne.
The son of Bel Esprit missed the kick by a long way and was left chewing dust for a good part of the journey. Wound right up in the straight by Matthew Allen though, the 4YO flew home to grab his win right on the wire.
Raced by leading owner, Johnathon Munz, Ejercito recorded his third win from 11 starts – his second from his past three outings.
Bred by John Richards and purchased at the 2006 Melbourne Premier by Dean Hawthorne, Ejercito is from the Vite Cheval mare Mamzelle Perdita, a sister to multiple stakeswinner Mamzelle Perdu (also dam of Oamaru Storm) and closely related to brilliant sprinter and sire Sequalo.
