I'm Elite 26/11/2008

The Bel Esprit Elite

Keep your eyes peeled for a Bel Esprit 3YO by the name of I’m Elite who, according to reports, may well live up to his name.

Bred by DHK Investments & Footy Racing, I’m Elite was sold to Ascot trainer Mark Tovey at last year’s Perth Magic Millions Yearling Sale for $30,000.

After running second in an official trial in early October, I’m Elite has since come up trumps in two subsequent trials, winning both by 3.5 and 5 lengths respectively … the most recent on Monday (24 November).

One prominent WA racing identity claimed it was the best barrier trial he’d seen by an unraced horse, enthusing that I’m Elite would soon be giving Group One performers a run for their money.

A half brother to two winners, I’m Elite is out of the Marauding mare Enchant, in turn a Sydney winning sister to stakeswinning 2YO Empower.

You heard it here first !
