Chat rooms have been critical of Danny Brereton's winning ride on the highly talented Work The Room at Sandown on Wednesday. "I'd sort of given up on the turn," trainer Col Little commented on the ground his charge had to make up. However, considering the inexperience of Work The Room, which began slowly at his only previous start, and his wide draw Brereton adapted well to the circumstances, with his mount recording 33.32 seconds for his final 600 metres.
