Kevin Sheedy 6/05/09

Top Gong for Dr Do-it all
We might have to call him Dr Sheedy from yesterday.
Kevin Sheedy was awarded an honorary doctorate by the Australian Catholic University.

The university awarded him its highest honour, Doctor of the University, in recognition of his contribution to community and youth work in sport, particularly with indigenous Australians.
Kevin is also one of the owners who raced Bel Esprit when he won the two Group 1 races, the Blue Diamond Stakes and the Doomben 10,000.
He has a couple of broodmares, Georgia, who has been to Bel Esprit five times and Lady Lucielle, who has been four times. Parisianna was another broodmare that went to Bel Esprit once.
He is a True Blue Bel Believer and part owned Diplomatic Strike (2 wins) and Bel Jadore while he continues to race Bel Shoes (2 wins), Queen Rene (1 win and named after his Mother), The Phoenician and Van Der Star

And the BEOC official photographer just happened to be there with his Wife, Lorraine (pictured with Kevin), at the Melbourne Town Hall to capture the happy event
