They say some horses have their motors at the rear so lets look at Bel Esprit, a colt and Black Caviar, a filly as the rest of the field saw them in a race

The Bel Esprit photo (left) was taken as he entered the mounting yard before his first start as a two year old on Cox Plate day 27/10/2001 when he won the Pierre Fontaine Trophy (Listed). He is ten months younger than Black Caviar in the photo


Black Caviar (right) enters the same yard at Moonee Valley on the 22/08/2009 before winning the Arrow Training Services Plate (Listed), both belted their rivals on the days
