BEL ESPRITS ARE WINNERS
A couple of four year olds are proving to be rewarding for Owners with a bit of patience.
Supreme Best, out of a Canny Lad mare, who had one run in September 2007, returned to the track in February this year and was backed from six to one to evens and collected the prize. He ran third at Doomben three weeks later and on Sunday he won the second race of his career. Starting favourite , he breezed home to win by three lengths to make his Owner, Mrs B A Bellingham, a happy Lady.
The other horse, Esprit De Gain, didn't start till he was a four year old. He ran third in his first start in December last year and finished third, followed that up with a win at his next start, an unplaced run followed up by a third and yesterday he had his second win at Balaclava in South Australia.
The Owners, T & Mrs L Mc Grail, C Avis, G Goodin, W Mortell & T Robertson are now in front because they bought the horse at the Magic Million sales in Adelaide March 2006 for $3000
Well done.
